Kate Beckinsale and Cara Delevingne join Turnbuckle cast
Kate Beckinsale and Cara Delevingne will feature in the cast of Turnbuckle.
The pair have signed up to star in the comedy-drama alongside Emile Hirsch, Terrence Howard, Evan Ross and Famke Janssen.
Other stars in the ensemble cast include Macy Gray, Sam Strike, Lily Mo Sheen, Randall J. Bacon and Tammin Sursok.
Writer-director Sean McEwen has completed production on Turnbuckle in Arkansas, with the flick being billed as a darkly comic Southern story about redemption, survival and small-town chaos.
Ross and Greg Carney are producing the picture for their newly-formed Film Mafia Entertainment banner.
Evan – the son of music legend Diana Ross who has previously appeared in The Hunger Games film franchise – told Deadline: "This is one of those rare films that feels both dangerous and elevated. The cast is electric, the tone is fresh, and we believe Turnbuckle will stand out as a prestige film with real cultural impact.
"None of this would have been possible without Christopher Crane and the Arkansas Film Commission. Arkansas, especially Hot Springs National Park, is a little paradise with its lakes, spas, restaurants, casino, and the perfect vibe for making a movie."
Meanwhile, Beckinsale revealed that she was overwhelmed by "fatigue and sadness" as she marked the second anniversary of her stepfather Roy Battersby's passing in January.
Alongside a series of photos of herself and Roy, Kate wrote on Instagram: "I can tell I'm still futilely trying to outrun my grief because I have found it so difficult to go through my phone to find photographs of you on the second anniversary of your not being here.
"What I know only too well about anniversary grief is that if you are not on top of it or you're distracted by other griefs, you may not even know the date in the calendar, but your body knows it, and fatigue and sadness overwhelms you and then you remember."
The Aviator star concluded: "I miss you so very much. I am so glad you're not seeing what is happening in the world which you absolutely predicted decades ago.
"I love you, Roy. I hated this first year of not buying you snazzy old man outfits for Christmas. Sleep tight. Roy Battersby April 20 1936 - January 10 2024."
Kate was only five years old when her father Richard Beckinsale died of a heart attack at the age of 31 and also lost her mother Judy Loe last July at the age of 78.
The 52-year-old actress previously hit back at trolls on social media for mocking her weight loss and explained that it was as a result of her body "closing down" after the deaths of her mother and stepfather.
A tearful Kate said: "2025 was a really really hard year. It was also the last year that my incredible mum was on this planet. So I feel really torn about letting go of it as well.
"But I just wanted to address the fact that I lost my stepfather a while ago, a couple of years ago. And I already watched my father die because my mum was in hospital it was just me at the age of five.
"I watched my 31-year-old father die of a huge heart attack, and then I watched my stepfather die and I watched my mother degenerate and die."
